Clinic to ChildCare

The Ray A. Corbett Medical Clinic building was paid for by the Corbett Medical Foundation and then given to the Town in order to provide a much-needed Medical Clinic.  When it was vacated by the Clinic, the Town sold the building to Valley Village for $1, who then remodeled, repaired and brought up to code and regulations, the entire facility to accommodate both Valley Village Childcare and ExCEL Preschool. 

The "Remodel Project" included:

• Repairs > $100,000
• Code upgrade for Fire Suppression (> $225,000)
• Remodel to make it suitable for Child Care/Preschool  = $550,000
• Play area $125,000
• Furnishings for classrooms and kitchen $70,000
• Associated costs for survey, legal, appraisal,      architect, insurance, building permits, > $50,000)

Funds for the project came from the Valley Village Non-Profit account which is funded by donations and grants.
